Olga Segou, PhD (f) holds a joint PhD (2014) in Location-based Services from the Electrical Engineering department of the National Technical University of Athens (ECE/NTUA) and the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (IIT/NCSRD) in Athens, Greece. Her undergraduate studies were completed in the Electrical Engineering & Computer Technology department of the University of Patras (2008). She is an experienced Project Manager and has handled multiple projects in varied technical fields. Her expertise lies mainly in Cloud Computing, Service Virtualisation, Cyber Security and the transition to 5G mobile communications (e.g. projects 5G ESSENCE, 5G DRIVE, SHIELD etc.). As a systems architect, she designs privacy, security and ethical safeguards in Cloud & 5G infrastructures (e.g. in projects SHIELD, 5G ESSENCE, and many more). Within the 5G-MOBIX project, she is leading the Work Package that deals with Deployment Enablers and plans to analyse, prioritise and assess the impact of challenges and recommendations in 5G for CAM deployments with focus on cross-border regions.
