Dr. James Joshi is Professor of School of Computing and Information (SCI) at the Unviersity of Pittsburgh, and is  currently serving as a Program Director of the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program NSF. He currently serves as a co-Chair of the NITRD Privacy Interagency Working Group. At Pitt, he has been serving as the Founding Director of the Laboratory of Education and Research on Security Assured Information Systems (LERSAIS). His research interests include access control and trust management, security and privacy of distributed systems (e.g., Cloud/Edge Computing, Social Networks, Location Based Services, etc.), insider threats, and privacy-preserving Machine Learning.
