The objective of the session is to explore the ground for potential collaboration of EU and US academia on fundamental, pre-competitive research on new concepts for distributed computing in the context of edge computing at device level and decentralised intelligence  which is mutually beneficial:  

 

  1. Decentralised intelligence through sharing resources across locally managed connected IoT devices
  2. How to create trust and manage security and privacy in future heterogeneous environments embedding more computing power at the edge
