IoT Cognitive Edge Based on Open Hardware: Concrete Examples of Large Scale Pilots in Brazil

This panel will  present  scientific and technological advances in IoT, conducted by Brazilian institutions in IoT Cognitive Edge. Code IoT education platform (human capital); Caninos Loucos SBC family and SwarmOS (technology).

 It will be shown six large scale Pilots based on Iot Cognitive Edge Open Platforms: autonomous traffic lights, edge based urban surveillance, health monitoring of childhood cancer patients, Sleep apnea diagnosis,  Internet of Turtle and The Inspire Project: (an Open Platform Emergency Ventilator designed and certified in 120 days, using open hardware IoT platforms. Inspire was successfully deployed in Brazil, reaching 1.000 ventilators distributed in  305 hospitals, in 215 cities of 15 states of Brazil). These results clearly show a growing development of IoT in Brazil, particularly in areas with urgent problems, such as covid-19 and environment.
