
Ulrich
Ahle is Chief Executive Officer of the FIWARE Foundation. FIWARE
is an initiative whose mission is to build an open sustainable ecosystem around
public, royalty-free and implementation-driven software platform standards that
will ease the development of new Smart Applications in multiple sectors.
Formerly Vice President and leader of Manufacturing,
Retail & Transportation business and responsible for Industry 4.0 at Atos
in Germany, he is also founder and member of the Board of the Industrial Data
Space Association in Germany.
After an apprenticeship as toolmaker at Hella KG, he
studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn. In his career,
Ahle held several positions as development engineer, project manager, sales
director and Vice President. He has been part of Nixdorf Computer AG, Siemens
and Ato.
