A graduate in management, economics and public administration, Philippe Cina has worked for more than 20 years in the public transport sector. At Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) he held key positions in the sales, production, key account management and the management of the group's subsidiaries. In 2011 he joined PostBus Switzerland Ltd to take responsibility for the international development of the company, a position he still holds.
 
In 2014, Philippe Cina also set up the Mobility Lab Sion-Valais, a partnership between universities, public institutions and the Swiss Post. The aim of this laboratory is to imagine, test and develop the mobility solutions of tomorrow. The emblematic project is “SmartShuttle”, the autonomous shuttles launched in June 2016 in the city of Sion.
