Susana Larrea, Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration, works at SPRI, the Basque Agency for Business Development, in the Strategic Initiatives Department. The department is responsible for the definition, implementation, communication, monitoring and evaluation of technological and business development strategies within the framework of the competitiveness policies of the Basque Government and, especially at present, within the scope of the Smart Specialization Strategy RIS3 of the Basque Country. The Strategic Initiatives Department is also in charge of the coordination of initiatives for RIS3 deployment, based on a public-private governance, and of its international positioning.

Susana participates in the Enterprise Europe Network since its launch in 2008. Its main responsibility is the transnational technology transfer and develops its activity mainly as a member of the Energy and Aeronautics and Space Sector Groups.

Until 2017, she was in the Technological Department of SPRI responsible for the implementation of Programs and Instruments to support and promote the Basque Government Science, Technology and Innovation Policy.
