Alicia Cano –
Business Development Medtronic Ibérica; ActiveAge IoT LSP
BsC in Telecomunication Engineering, and Master in
Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). In her
professional carrier in Healthcare, she has been involved in different
innovative and research bioengineering projects, as well as in the improvement
of the diagnostic and treatment diseases in the cardiology area. Currently, she
works in the Integrated Health Solution in Medtronic, which main objective is
to create and offer solutions focused on value based healthcare.
Medtronic Ibérica is the coordinator of the ACTIVAGE project, framed within the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program, and its main is to develop evidence on the positive impact of IoT-based technologies and solutions on improving the quality of life, health and autonomy of older persons and, consequently, on enhancing the sustainability of health and social care systems in Europe.
