Marianne is the General Manager for Microsoft in Switzerland and has been with Microsoft since 2011, previously leading public sector business in Germany as a member to the German Management Team. She started her career in the Public Affairs Unit of Daimler Benz AG and went on assuming responsibility for the contract management department and then the sales business of a Bonn-based EADS subsidiary. Later on, Marianne, who holds a doctorate of law, acted as a member of management to the special system house ESG GmbH for seven years. In her last role prior to joining Microsoft, she was General Manager Western and Eastern Europe within the Electricity business unit at Ester GmbH.  Marianne holds both a German and French citizenship and is fluent in four languages.
