Joseba Izaguirre (M) holds a MSc in Telecommunications Engineering by the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV). He works as Researcher in the Electronics and Communication Unit at IK4-TEKNIKER, with more than 10 years experience acquired in RF technologies as well as in design and development of embedded communication solutions for sensor and actuator platforms for the Internet of Things and WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks),  healthcare systems and industrial sensors. He has managed and/or participated in several finished or ongoing industrial and EU-research projects (FP7 and H2020) related to security, energy efficiency and IoT.

Since 2017 he is also Coordinator of the Sensor Devices Technological Solution at IK4-TEKNIKER, which aims at packing the in-house expertise in a wide set of heterogeneous technologies (from sensing principles like photonics, chemometrics, tribology or artificial vision up to materials, micro-mechanics, advanced electronics or precise manufacturing) to deliver smart and cost efficient integrated industrial sensor devices to the market.
