The digitalization of the industry implies more and more the use of IoT and its integration in the industrial networks. This has a twofold effects: use of IoT to gather data used as primary source for the detection of potential attacks while at the same increase the attack surface in some settings. This session will focus on the IoT technology in some industrial areas and critical infrastructures, including possible implications for the implementation of the NIS directive.
