Jens Hagemeyer is a Senior Researcher at Bielefeld University. He received his diploma degree in electrical engineering combined with computer science from the University of Paderborn, Germany, in 2006.  He works at the Cognitronics and Sensor Systems research group, Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC) at Bielefeld University. His main research interests are in the area of heterogeneous, reconfigurable computing hardware for HPC, cloud, edge, and IoT applications. He is author and co-author of several international papers and conference contributions and is co-founder of ParaXent GmbH, a spin-off established in 2018, which targets the development and efficient utilization of heterogenous hardware accelerators. He is the coordinator of the VEDLIoT project, an EU-H2020 funded IoT project developing a novel heterogeneous hardware platform for next-generation AIoT applications.
