Olaf-Gerd Gemein is a serial entrepreneur, founded several companies and supported a large number of industry and government associations, amongst them in the past 5 years: the World Bank and G20 Smart City Initiative, the FIWARE Foundation, the Gaia-X related Truzz Working group, the Open & Agile Smart Cities Initiative, the German Federation of Critical Infrastructure, the Green TEC Campus, the ERTICO hosted MaaS Alliance Public-Private Partnership and is engaged with various country and city governments as strategy advisor, funding agent, digital expert and architect.

In former positions he served the Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP at European Commission with 398 entities) as Chair, and invented and facilitated the successful acceleration programSpeedUP! Europe under the same regime, incorporated several innovation programs and business camps, and supported 100 Start Ups from 17 countries across the globe as coach and mentor (Europe, North America, India, Korea, Africa). As Keynote speaker and workshop facilitator he was engaged around the globe, talking about smart cities and smart urbandigitalisation, innovation creation & management and as well as innovation procurement, cybersecurity and funding. Olaf is very active in research and standardisation initiatives and member of several digital projects and working groups globally, related to smart platform architectures and interoperability.
