Alessandro Pernice is consultant on EU Public Affairs, EU policies and Programmes (i.e. ETC, ENI CBC, H2020, etc. ) and on Project management for Research & Innovation projects.
• Senior Project Manager at ARCES, he is currently Head of Unit of European Programmes in charge of supporting the management of four EU-funded projects, such as Helios (co-financed by ENI CBC MED 2014-2020), JobMatch 2020 (co-financed by 2014 - 2020 INTERREG V-A Italy – Malta), Citrivet (co-financed by ERASMUS + - Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships), and Palib (co-financed by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education). He is in charge of project design of several actions to be supported with EU Funds.
• Consultant at Formez PA. Expert for the JMA of ENPI CBC MED Programme, He was in charge of supporting for 3 years the capitalization process and preparation of the new 2014-2020 ENI CBC Med Programme, and in particular the definition of the intervention strategy.
• Graduated in Political Sciences (International relations) in 2000 at University of Palermo, he gained a Master in European Political and Administrative Studies (College of Europe of Bruges) in 2002.
• Afterwards he joined two international networks (UNIMED and HERIMED) where he had Business Development and Project management responsibilities for projects dealing with valorisation of Cultural Heritage, Environmental Risk Management, ICT and Social inclusion.
• Working with these Networks, Alessandro developed several collaborative EU projects (NARPIMED, MEDINS, METANIR, POLIRISK, UNIMED CULTURAL HERITAGE II) liaising with the European Commission and the Managing authorities of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes (e.g. ENPI CBC MED, Interreg, ETC MED).
• Furthermore, he was Project designer for many notable projects including Athena Project (co-financed by Euromed Heritage IV), NEWCIMED project (co-financed by ENPI CBC MED 2007-2013), A.P.E.R. Project and A.I.D.A Project (co-financed by ENPI CBC ITALY-TUNISIA 2007-2013).
• Fluent in French and English.
