IoT DATA INTEROPERABILITY
My Session Status
The data interoperability in the context of the Internet of Things (IoT) has several issues to be solved by the research community. For instance, the large amount of data, the numerous different data models and the data collection at high speed are key challenges to address by the different organizations working in the domain of IoT data interoperability. Different dimensions of IoT data interoperability exist like semantic interoperability, syntacticalinteroperability and the object abstraction interoperability. Basically, the semantic interoperability concerns the development of common data models and the related ontologies. The data formats are defined in the frame of syntactic interoperability. Finally, the vocabulary and the metadata descriptions are elaborated in the object abstraction interoperability.
This session will present the possible solutions solving the challenges encountered in the IoT data interoperability. A panel discussion involving the relevant international organizations specialized in the IoT data interoperability will follow the presentations.
