Internet of things (IoT) and edge computing are advancing, allowing the computing to be performed closer to where the data is produced and apply analytics for processing the data. Adding edge processing to resource-constrained IoT devices brings new security issues and requires innovation and optimisation at the hardware, software and connectivity levels. The session gives an overview of the IoT evolutionary concepts, and the presentations focus on the challenges related to leveraging the integration of IoT, AI, edge computing, advanced intelligent wireless technologies while considering cybersecurity implications on vertical applications.
