Fernando Monzon is currently leading Technology and innovation Work at NTT DATA´s Green Engineering practice. Having a background in the Marine Geophysics and Engineering field, Fernando joined everis (now NTT DATA) in 2007. Dedicated initially to projects in the Telecom sector up to 2012, he was appointed to help create the corporate IoT department. For nine years, he managed the IoT practice mainly dedicated to solutions and projects in the Utilities, Industrial, and Smart city business lines. During this time, he acquired extensive knowledge on different industrial communication protocols, as well as with the latest IoT technological advances, SW, and electronics. Since 2020, he changed to the newly created Green Engineering practice, managing both IoT projects in the Primary and Aquaculture sectors, as well as BlockChain solutions oriented to product traceability and Carbon emissions trading. Currently working in several projects at which analytics & Machine Learning capabilities are embedded in our IoT devices. 

Also since 2017, Fernando collaborates as an associate teacher at the Industry 4.0, BlockChain, and Machine Learning Master degrees at the University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid.
