Ms Veronica Sesoko
Veronica Mariti Sesoko works in Dublin City Council Smart City Unit, the innovation section within the local government. She has been involved in projects areas such as Mobility, Environmental, Connectivity, Engagement, Spatial Analysis, Drones, 3D City Models and Digital Twins over the past 3 years. Her mission is to understand how can technology help improve public services and how technologies will disrupt the city – how can the city prepare itself to those changes.
Veronica qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering Transportation from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Brazil, her home country. She is a member of Engineers Ireland Council, since 2021. In Dublin City Council she is a member of the Continuous Professional Development Committee and the Chair of the Sub-Committee focusing on the Graduates and Assistant Engineers. She has also been involved with Active Learning Methodologies publishing 5 articles, the development of special concrete for competitions, guest professor in Instituto Maua de Tecnology teaching about Smart City Projects and Creativity and guest speaker on events covering topics such as: mobility, engineering, smart cities, and international career.
