Daniel Alonso Román
Daniel received the B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain, in 1994, and the M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Valencia, in 2011 (Master Special Award). Daniel has worked as project and business manager in different companies in the field of communications and information systems, and as researcher at University of Valencia and University of Agder, participating in several national and European projects. Daniel is currently the Director of the Promotion and Positioning Area at ITI, a Research and Technology Center in Valencia (Spain). He is also the chair of the i-Spaces group of the Big Data Value Association, and the coordinator of the H2020 project EUHubs4Data, aimed at creating an European federation of Data Driven Innovation Hubs.
