Michael Rudden is a Programme Manager with SFI CONNECT, based in Tyndall National Institute (TNI) in Cork, Ireland. Michael's current area of focus is on Sustainable IoT.
A certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute, Michael has held programme and project management roles in several multinational organisations and SMEs (including Accenture Ltd., S3 TV Ltd., GoS Networks Ltd, Cyantel Ltd and Statistical Solutions Ltd), in which he managed the development of a variety of innovative commercial products and services used by leading telecommunications and biopharmaceutical organizations. Previous to this Michael worked as a research scientist in the National Microelectronics Research Centre (NMRC), predecessor of TNI, specializing in research on photovoltaic and alternative energy applications.
Michael is a graduate of UCC with an B.E. (Electrical), and an M.Eng.Sc. awarded based on his research in the area of energy generation using photovoltaics carried out in the NMRC.
