Alessandro was born in 1974 since he was a child he became passionate about electronics and information technology.
In 1993 he founded the Video Systems company with his father, which produces industrial quality control systems based on machine vision and artificial intelligence. Over the years he has distinguished himself from first in the technical direction of the company and since 2004 as CEO of the same. When the company had 5 employees on the death of his father over the next 10 years, it has collected several successes, becoming today one of the reference companies on the Italian scene for the development of tailor-made systems based on artificial vision in the industrial sector.
He has directed more than 10 research projects from 2005 to today, managing diverse teams of electronic engineers, computer engineers, physics and mathematicians. He directed the development of over 50 products developed by the company and directed the development of over 200 tailor-made quality control and process control applications in the manufacturing sector.
Today the company with 25 employees provides systems and services all over the world guaranteeing a tailored service to its customers represented multinationals in the manufacturing sector. Since 2014 the company has collaborated on several European research projects H2020 focused on the Factory of Future and Zero Defects lines and Alessandro was and is the Video Systems coordinator on these projects.
Alessandro is an electrotechnical engineer having obtained the diploma in 1994 at the ITIS A. Malignani technical institute in Udine.

In parallel to Video Systems business, he started the master's degree course in computer science at Università di Udine, studies that he had to interrupt due to the premature death of his father and the commitments of managing the family business. In 2019 he resumed his studies to complete the last exams and the degree thesis. Over the years he has attended many computer science, data science courses and embedded systems on Texas Instruments DSP courses. He has developed considerable skills in the development of industrial quality control systems based on machine vision and artificial intelligence.

Alessandro has competences and many years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, embedded systems, image processing and process control & product quality systems development in Hollow Glass, Steel and Automotive/automation industries.
He is an IEEE Member since 2004 and IEEE Senior Member since 2018, ACM Senior Member and SPIE Member. His research interests include image processing, Artificial Intelligence and factory automation.

Robots have always been Alessandro passion and he thinks is very lucky man to be able to work with the things that he is most passionate about. He deal with AI and machine vision every day and his dream is to be able to give contribution to space missions and in particular those on Mars.
