By exploiting the properties of quantum physics, quantum technologies represent a fundamental paradigm shift, and also a promising and rapidly growing industrial sector. Recent advancements in this field are staggering and pose new challenges. For examples, quantum sensors exist for a long time and can be used in almost all industry areas and applications; photonics are key technologies for implementation of quantum communications.

The European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC) was established in March 2021 to establish a thriving industry ecosystem, bringing together companies, from large to start-ups, research and technology organisations. Its members collectively span the broad landscape of quantum solutions – computing, communication, sensing and metrology, and enabling technologies.

In this session we will explain what quantum technologies are bringing and their impacts; how to build the next generation of IoT, communications, etc; give you an overview of market trends, ecosystem, challenges and vision.
