5GMediaHUB (https://www.5gmediahub.eu/) is an EU funded project focusing on overcoming the challenges of deploying advanced applications on 5G networks. The goal is to produce an open and fully-featured experimentation facility for application developers to rapidly test and validate 5G-enabled applications. The project’s consortium consists of 17 partners from 9 European countries, covering technology providers, content creators (private and public broadcasters), one Mobile Network Operator, and also research institutes and other not-for-profit organisations.

This workshop aims to raise awareness of the project, share project goals and enhance the network of interested parties. The project would like to attract people from both the research community and industry, particularly from the SME community. 5GMediaHUB is driven by the needs of media and entertainment application developers, however, it is important to note that the platform being developed is not limited to this group and applies more widely across the broader IoT domain. The workshop is therefore an opportunity for participants to develop an understanding of the capabilities of cutting-edge 5G technology from leading European researchers, and how this could impact their research/business in the future. The workshop is intended as a networking event to share ideas about 5G testing and validation, while highlighting follow-up opportunities for further engagement with the 5GMediaHUB project.
