Introduction 

The panel of this session will examine the dynamic interplay among various European Data Regulations, including the Digital Markets Act (DMA), Digital Services Act (DSA), Data Act (DA), Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA), and Market in Crypto-assets Regulation (MICA). It will also focus on unraveling the complexities surrounding these regulations and offer insights into overcoming challenges while ensuring solid compliance. In addition to this, special attention will be given to discussing strategies to foster cooperation among regulatory bodies and promote the development of best practices in the data compliance field.  

Key questions and objectives: 

  • How can we define and navigate the interplay between different acts while ensuring full compliance? 
  • What are the tangible impacts of European data regulations, and what are their primary challenges in navigating multiple regulatory frameworks? 
  • What strategies can be employed to foster cooperation among diverse regulators? 
  • What is the main role of Data Protection Authorities, and how can we ensure efficient cooperation among them, particularly in enforcement efforts?
