Dr. Elias Z. Tragos (m) is currently a researcher at the INSIGHT Centre for Data Analytics of the National University of Ireland, Galway. Dr Tragos has a PhD in wireless communications and a Master’s degree in Techno-Economics. He has been actively involved in the WINNER, WINNER II, WINNER+, EU-MESH, MESH-WISE, SOrBet, REDComm and RERUM projects, in the WWI Cross Issues workgroups of System Architecture, System Interfaces and Validation and in many national Greek projects. Dr. Tragos has acted as Project Manager for several of the projects he has participated and was until recently the technical coordinator of the EU-FP7-SMARTCITIES-RERUM and the Project Coordinator of the H2020-MSCA-ITN project WiVi-2020. Dr. Tragos has been very actively involved in the IERC, as the chair of Activity Chain 5 (Trusted IoT), as the co-chair of Activity Chain 3 for IoT Results Exploitation, to Activity Chain 1 (Architecture), as well as in the IERC Book. Dr. Tragos has published more than 60 peer reviewed conference and journal papers, receiving more than 1200 citations. The expertise and research interests of Dr. Tragos span in the areas of Internet of Things architecture, security, privacy and trust, wireless networking, Cognitive Radio networks, radio resource management and wireless mesh networking.
