Dr. Juan Cadavid (male) works at CEA LIST, where he holds the position of responsible for European Affairs at the Software and Systems Engineering department. Prior to that, he worked as a research engineer at the Model-Driven Engineering Lab for Embedded Systems, where he was responsible for the Manufacturing domain of application. He worked to in approaches about how MDE could help to realize the Factory of the Future vision in manufacturing companies. He holds a PhD from University of Rennes, where he worked in one of the pioneering research teams of MDE. His doctoral thesis fell under the topic of "precise metamodeling", where he developed approaches and tools to make MDE more accessible to stakeholders in different application domains. He is currently involved in the H2020 project BEinCPPS (Business Experiments in Cyber-Physical Production Systems), leading the work package "Rhône-Alpes Experimentation" where he conducts CPS experimentations with a regional SME, and works in establishing the digital-innovation hubs for CPS in the manufacturing domain all across France.
