
Harry Turtledove is an escaped Byzantine historian. He writes alternate history, other sf, fantasy (often historically based), and historical fiction. His latest novel is alternate history THROUGH DARKEST EUROPE. He is married to fellow writer Laura Frankos. They have three daughters and two granddaughters, and live with three spoiled cats.
