After practicing law for more than twenty years, teaching, selling Pontiacs and GMC pickup trucks, performing certain vague “analysis” functions for the Department of Defense, and counseling teenagers, H. Paul Honsinger became a “reformed attorney,” and full-time writer. Paul is the author of the “Man of War” Military Science Fiction series, consisting of three volumes: To Honor You Call Us, For Honor We Stand, and Brothers in Valor, published by 47North Books. Total sales from the series (including the originally self-published versions of the first two novels) now stand at over 125,000 copies. The series tells the tale of the Union Space Navy destroyer USS Cumberland and the young, brilliant Cajun who commands her, Max Robichaux, in the midst of a vast interstellar war against the Krag in the year 2315. The novels are in the vein of the great Age of Sail novels of Patrick O’Brian and C. S. Forrester.
