Andi Lee Carter (he/him/they/them) is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and performer. He is a recent graduate from the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program where he presented his two final thesis musicals: Last Night in Pompeii and S.T.E.M. GRLZ! Scientific Strategies for Starting a Feminist Rock Band. His first original full-length musical Rent A White Guy was dubbed “often very funny” by The New York Times. Andi performs stand-up and sketch regularly at comedy venues in NYC including UCB, the PIT and Magnet Theater. He is an Artistic Associate for Random Access Theatre Company where his musical play Fanny Campbell, the Female Pirate Captain was developed in residency. He is an active member Trans Actors Guild, National Queer Theatre, Trans Voices Cabaret, and the Dramatist Guild of America. He is a founding member and former board member of the Musical Theatre Factory and original moderator of its monthly Women/Trans Writers Representation Round Table.
