Luis Salgado is an international director, choreographer and educator from Puerto Rico . Most recently, he directed and choreographed the current second national tour of On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan which can be seen on tour in 2023 and 2024. He also directed the world premiere of On Your Feet! en Español in 2022 at GALA Hispanic Theatre. Director/choreographer credits include: Cirque du Soleil Paramour (Associate Director, Germany), Ella es Colombia (Columbia), On Your Feet! (Holland), Ragtime, Aida, Fame The Musical, Matilda The Musical, Speed-the-Plow, The Tempest, Candela Fuerza y Pasión(Peru), U.S premiere of In the Heights in Spanish (Helen Hayes Award for Best Musical). Film/ TV: Enchanted and Step Up 2: The Streets (Assistant Choreographer). Assistant Latin Choreographer of the Tony Award®-winning Broadway hit In the Heights. Luis is the founder of R.Evolución Latina, a non-profit organization that activates individual and collective human growth through artistic experiences for transformation and social change. Their vision is to grow as a strong organization that empowers and unites the Latino community with full capacity to manage and expand our programs that inspire lives through the arts.
