April Cook

April Cook is currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center (BDC), and teaches throughout the country for several competitions and conventions. She has had the pleasure of leading and/or creating several projects throughout her years at BDC, including the annual Student Showcase and Rhythm Arts Project.


April is a tap instructor for Rosie O’Donnell’s Rosie’s Theater Kids, has been a guest teacher at the Osaka School of Music (Japan), and had the privilege of performing nationally with Savion Glover.

Performance credits include: "The Colbert Report;" Usher Raymond’s birthday celebration at NYC’s Rainbow Room; Up Front/Cartoon Network; Neil Young and Crazy Horse Greendale Tour; WNBA Charlotte Sting dance team; Mable Lee’s Dancing Ladies, Shine On! at Radio City Music Hall; A Shared Evening: Michelle Dorrance and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards; Gypsy of the Year (BCEFA event); Nylon Magazine; ABC’s "Good Morning America;" For (Sonia Montez music video); Mannheim Steamroller, and Tap Tel Aviv.

Choreography credits include: ABC "World News Now," ABC’s "Good Morning America," BDC's Professional Semester (ten semesters) and Rhythm Arts Project, American Tap Dance Foundation's (ATDF) youth summer intensive, Britney Spears' Elizabeth Arden fragrance launch party, CUNY Arts TV, and Hairroin Salon NYC Opening Party.
