Manu Narayan's recent Broadway credits include Robbie in original cast of Gettin’ the Band Back Together (Belasco) and Zoltan Karpathy in original cast of 2018 revival of My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center Theater (Vivian Beaumont). Manu created the role of Aakash (Drama League nomination) in the original Broadway company of AR Rahman’s Bombay Dreams. Other theatre include Romeo and Cyrano as well as leading men in Les Miserables and The Boys from Syracuse; Ricky Roma (SD Critics’ nomination) in La Jolla Playhouse’s Glengarry Glen Ross; Mike in the Kennedy Center’s The Lisbon Traviata, and Norman in the Second Stage revival of subUrbia. Most recently, he played Huma in Rajiv Joseph’s Guards at the Taj and the Stage Manager in Our Town. Manu is an accomplished singer who has sung for world leaders and has appeared in several operas. Lead singer and co-songwriter of the world pop band Darunam, and has recorded and frequently sings around the world with Frank London of the Grammy winning band the Klezmatics.
