Theatre is something that should be all inclusive--the type of theatre that embraces our differences and welcomes everyone. The LGBTQIA Community is one which has important, moving, and dignified stories to tell. When a playwright who is part of that community pens a work, it is often provocative, riveting and embraceable. You find yourself embracing the message of acceptance and the brutal ignorance and cruelty that can accompany non-acceptance. LGBTQIA playwrights have a gift for creating stories that are captivating to watch, have humor and bring you gently into a world so that you can feel what their characters are experiencing. How is it for these playwrights? What are the messages they are trying to convey to the public through their works and why is it paramount to them to have the voices of this community heard? LGBTQIA playwright will talk about what they do and why they do it.
