Producing licensed musicals always comes with challenges, but most Americans rarely think about the additional hurdles that come from producing these shows overseas, from language and cultural differences to high costs and differences in laws and contracts. In this session, you'll hear from a Guatemalan producer and director about working around these challenges and the rewards that come from getting a show on its feet. Plus, we'll touch on the relationship between American and Guatemalan artists and opportunities available for US artists overseas.
