Hamilton: An American Musical is a hip-hop Broadway musical that tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton. Since debuting at The Public Theater, it has become a global phenomenon. Why are fans so diverse? Why is there such a devoted fandom of people who have never set foot in the room where it happens? PhD candidate Courtney Bliss examines her own background and descent into the fandom to start to find an answer.
