The #OwnVoices movement advocates for stories about marginalized communities to be written by people who actually fit the description on the page. Our panel will discuss why #OwnVoices matters, whether there are–or should be–exceptions to the rules, and the work that goes into building fictional worlds as diverse as the world we live in.
