Julie Hahnke, author of two fantasy novels, will explore the relationships between myth and fantasy in literature. She'll examine jointly what fantasy and myth actually are. She'll demonstrate the different ways myth can influence fantasy, providing examples from well-known works of fantasy. She'll discuss how J.K. Rowling used myth in the Harry Potter series. And she'll finish with her thoughts on creating the modern myth.
