To reach students teachers have to think outside of the box more than ever. Educators need to look to pop culture to help their students gain interest in all subject areas as well as to make connections to difficult material. This presentation identifies the subject areas that the Harry Potter series can assist teachers in bridging the gap with their students. It will begin by identifying these subject areas, and giving examples from the text that help integrate high school and college curriculums. It will cover: English; Chemistry; World History; Latin; Mythology; Science; and Geography.
