The Wizarding World in (My Own) Contemporary, Canadian, Published Poetry!

Theme:
Informal Programming
When:
1:00 PM, Saturday 16 Jul 2011 EDT (50 minutes)
Where:
Christine Lowther will be doing a poetry reading from her new book, The Half-Blood Poems, published by Zossima Press in July. Poetry is meant to be a sharing in which the audience, rather than sitting up straight and stiff in hard chairs, feels comfortable enough to respond. The poems are at times dramatic, at other times funny. Every one of them is inspired by Rowling's novels sometimes by the films. Infused by Christine's own personal 12 Searing Similarities to Harry Potter, including the loss of her own parents to murder, this presentation will include poetic tributes to characters, and poems composed (channeled?) by some of the characters themselves.
