This will be a roundtable discussion on minorities in Harry Potter. It will be focused on disabilities and LGBTQ characters. Discussion of what a disability is to a wizard, how muggle disabilities are represented in the novels, can wizards cure muggle disabilities, what about the Longbottoms will all be discussed. The LGBTQ culture will be discussed focusing on Dumbedore, and if the announcement of his sexual preference was an afterthought or was it intended all along? Is the LGBTQ culture large in the wizard world, why is it not discussed more, will also be covered. We will brush over racial minorities as well.
