Harry Potter exemplifies courage as a major virtue throughout the seven book series. We shall explore the virtue of courage within Harry’s journey as it relates to the “Phoenix Song” referred to in the Harry Potter book series. We will discuss the various chapters from the Harry Potter book series that show us the sacrificial courage that Harry and his friends exemplify in the face of danger and death to protect the innocent and to eventually save the Wizarding world. Why “courage” was impossible for the Dark Lord to understand or accept. How the elements of courage and the suffering hero symbolized by Harry’s fictional journey affect our own choices on the path of life.
