"Sometimes I Think We Sort Too Soon"

Is the Sorting Hat always right? Does it consider who someone is at the age of eleven or does it predict who they will become? In this group discussion, we will examine characters who don’t seem to fit the houses they were assigned. We will also consider where characters who did not attend Hogwarts, like Krum or the Dursleys, and characters whose house is unknown, like Lockhart, Ollivander, or Cornelius Fudge. As we move through our list of questionably-sorted characters, we hope that the group will be able to analyze the different facets of their personalities and ultimately vote on the house in which they belong.
