Cathy Leogrande is a Professor in the Teacher Education Department of the Purcell School of Professional Studies at Le Moyne College, a Jesuit college in New York. Her teaching and research focus issues of race, class, gender, and disability in all areas of popular culture, including comics and graphic novels, film, videogames and YA lit. She has written and presented on the Potter series for over 10 years and teaches several courses based on Rowling's works.
