Through Harry Potter, many individuals found themselves becoming experts in digital media and connecting with others in affinity spaces. In the aftermath of the initial excitement, a range of roles has emerged. Some fans stay quiet, yet faithfully read blogs, websites, fanfiction and more. Others do not produce, but become adept at managing websites and places where content can be curated and archived. This interactive presentation will explore the range of roles that have become standard for fans of any franchise, hobby or group.
