Hagrid’s warning of “There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin” is one of the most recognizable lines from the Potter franchise. This quote set the stage to paint Slytherin house as Death Eaters in waiting, fickle and power hungry, but how true is that statement and how much bearing should it have on the core of Slytherin identity? This panel addresses the issues of narrator bias and logical flaws in presenting a case for the merits of being a Slytherin, while providing counterpoints to common misconceptions and misinformation about what being a Slytherin really means. Check your assumptions at the door and take a closer look at what wearing the green and grey actually says about a person.
