Little in the Harry Potter fandom compares to the joy and community that is experienced at a wrock concert. Because of this, wizard rock has attracted scholars who also consider themselves fans of Harry Potter, including ourselves. In this roundtable, we discuss our experiences of researching wizard rock and walking the line between our fan and academic identities. Through it, we hope to provide insight into the joys and challenges of researching fandom.
