Dawn Johnson began writing for The Leaky Cauldron in 2016. She later moved into the role of editor and reported for Leaky at the recent grand opening of Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort. Dawn is a proud Slytherin and enjoys bringing the magic of Harry Potter to her husband and six little "witches and wizards," whether it's painting a magical mural for her children's Book Nook, transforming their home for Back-to-Hogwarts celebrations every year, watching the films (a lot), or regularly playing all manner of Harry Potter board games. She considers it a privilege to write, edit, and theorize for The Leaky Cauldron, combining her love for Potter with her Muggle Studies degree in Journalism. When not working for Leaky, Dawn teaches Art, Yearbook/Journalism, and History. She's also a lover of sports, coaching both Volleyball and Basketball while secretly waiting for a call from the Kenmare Kestrels.
