Participates in 1 Session
Logan Park, Ph.D., is an associate professor of human ecology at Southern Illinois University's Forestry department. He works with U.S. national parks, forests, and wildlife refuges to manage and prevent human impacts to beautiful and fragile places loved by millions each year. Logan has hiked the Appalachian Trail right past Ilvermorny (Mt. Greylock, MA). He joins the Science in Harry Potter panel to discuss the zoology and ecology of fantastic beasts and how they'd be influenced by climate change, zookeeping in non-native environments, and how human values can spell survival or extinction for other creatures.
