Melissa Anelli is the CEO of Mischief Management and Co-Founder of BroadwayCon. A lifelong theatregoer, her love of the musical RENT led to her discovery of fandom and all of its life-changing potential. In 2000 she fell in love with Harry Potter, and after a few years as a NYC reporter and running the Harry Potter website The Leaky Cauldron, she wrote the NYT-bestselling book, "Harry, A History: The true story of a boy wizard, his fans, and life inside the Harry Potter phenomenon." In 2009, she and the wizards from The Leaky Cauldron ran their first convention, LeakyCon, setting them directly on the path to invent BroadwayCon. Melissa lives in Brooklyn and is grateful to still be helping to create safe spaces for geeks to fully enjoy the things they love.
