Liz Gloyn is a Senior Lecturer in Classics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She spends most of her time pottering around Rome in the first century AD. Her research looks at the intersections between Latin literature, social history and ancient philosophy; she is also interested in how popular culture uses the classics. She's just finishing off a book on classical monsters in the modern world for publication in September 2019.
